Designing Inspiring & Engaging Workspaces

Gone are the days of bland, cookie-cutter office layouts. Modern workplaces are embracing innovative designs that prioritize employee well-being and creativity. When crafting your office space to reflect your brand identity, consider the following:

Brand Aesthetics: Infuse your brand colours, logos, and visual elements into the office decor to reinforce brand recognition and create a cohesive environment.

Functional Spaces: Design different areas tailored to specific tasks and work styles, catering to diverse employee needs and preferences.

Natural Elements: Incorporate elements of nature, such as plants and natural light, to promote well-being and reduce stress.

Flexibility and Adaptability: Create adaptable spaces that evolve with your company’s needs, empowering employees to customize their surroundings and collaborate more effectively.

Creating Spaces that Encourage Interaction and Innovation

Innovation thrives in environments that promote collaboration, experimentation, and idea-sharing. Here’s how you can cultivate such spaces:

Collaboration Zones: Designate areas specifically geared towards collaborative work, equipped with whiteboards and comfortable seating.

Breakout Areas: Incorporate casual breakout spaces for impromptu meetings and creative brainstorming sessions.

Innovation Labs: Create dedicated spaces equipped with tools and resources to support experimentation and problem-solving.

Digital Connectivity: Integrate technology seamlessly to facilitate virtual collaboration among teams, bridging geographical barriers.

Office Inspo: Detonate’s Collaboration with Sago Mini

Recently, Detonate had the pleasure of working with Sago Mini, a renowned children’s brand, at their head office in Toronto. Together with their team of designers, Detonate transformed Sago Mini’s office space with creative vinyl graphics, creating thoughtful and engaging spaces for employees and visitors to enjoy. The result was not only visually stunning but also aligned perfectly with Sago Mini’s playful and imaginative brand identity.

Sago Mini demonstrated exceptional creativity in identifying various workspaces and integrating fun, inspirational branding throughout their office. Each area was carefully crafted to serve a specific purpose while reflecting the brand’s whimsical charm. From vibrant play areas that spark imagination to themed meeting rooms that inspire collaboration, Sago Mini’s office exudes creativity at every turn.

As a delightful engagement piece and takeaway for visitors, Sago Mini included a captivating photo wall showcasing memorable moments and characters from their beloved games and animations. This interactive installation not only allows visitors to engage with the space in a creative way but also leaves them with a fun takeaway from their visit.

Aaron Leighton, Sago Mini’s Art Director, expressed excitement about the bold and playful concepts implemented, while James Tuer, Art Manager, praised Detonate’s professionalism and precision during installation.

“We chose the concepts that would be bold, colourful and, most importantly, fun! We were also inspired by the specific spaces, with our two booths becoming a diner and prehistoric cave, while our dark, narrow kitchen was perfectly suited to become outer space.”

“Detonate’s team of installers, Jess & Jay did a phenomenal job getting everything installed. It’s really something to see how quickly, confidently, and accurately they apply those decals. They were outstanding at following our reference images without needing clarification, lining things up exactly as we’d hoped. I can’t imagine a more professional pair of installers.”

– James Tuer, Art Manager, Sago Mini

In conclusion, your office space is more than just a place to work—it’s a tangible expression of your brand identity and a catalyst for organizational success. By designing workspaces that inspire and engage employees, align with your company culture, and foster interaction and innovation, you can create a dynamic environment where both your brand and your workforce thrive.
